John the Baptist High School, Thane. They both had a fairytale lovestory. Wedding rituals were done in both Sikh and Maharashtrian style. Newly wed couple is currently living in Mumbai with his parents. His second book, That's the way we met , was published on 1 July Soon after the release of his second book, he quit his job at an IT company in to fully devote his time to writing.

Writing has always come easily to me. So the effort involved in crafting a story out of approximately 80, words, was never a daunting prospect.

But here's the thing: Those 80, words can go into a book you have enjoyed writing, or a lousy one you have rolled out under duress. I look back at some of my books and think - left to myself, I would have written a different book.

I am not saying a better book, nor am I saying a more saleable book. Just a very different book! Publishers know their markets. And they knew what they wanted to do with my early books - flog them as India's breakthrough 'sexy' novels written by a 'bold' woman. Someone who photographed well and was fun to interview.

That disgusting tag of 'Jackie Collins of India' stuck! It will follow me to my grave. Nothing wrong with Jackie Collins. But I prefer to be me. I enjoyed writing about sex. That is fine, not complaining. The reactions were tedious.

Making me more and more determined to raise the sex bar as it were with each successive novel. I tried strictly no sex books too. And focused on chaste non-fiction for years.

But no!

That tag of being a 'porno writer' if you please refused to go away. Hmm, I said to myself tiredly. Damned if I do and damned if I don't. I am determined to write even sexier books in future.

What will our puritanical 'samaj' say? That's it?

I can handle that. Besides, if you are a buddhiya, better to be badmash than a bore! Overall it's a good pages novel that you can try if you want pass time with good story This gives them a basic reader base that remains loyal as that's the only genre they read. Its very hard for a new author to make his way into one of these genres that already has a King ruling the Jungle. Kudos to Sudeep Nagarkar that he made his place in the Romance section even when Chetan Bhagat and likes of Ravinder Singh were ruling it.

Today, Sudeep N is the most read and sold novelist from R The famous authors in India make their own genre and keeps on writing about it all their career. Chetan Bhagat's last novel came almost 3 years back.

Sudeep Nagarkar utilized this period in making his own benchmark by publishing each of his novel at the gap of 8 months. Today, his readers wait for his next novel desperately. Interestingly, he is improving with every book of his. He is already 4 novels old. Vikrant, Anamika and Yuvi will make you believe 'When your passion and purpose is greater than your fears, you find a way to overcome them.

Sorry, You're Not My Type by Sudeep Nagarkar

There are some average authors with whom I have a wonderful connect that I end up reading every book released by them and keep giving 3 or 3. Confessedly, Sudeep Nagarkar, though a Bestseller since his first book, was considered an average writer to me, but not any more after reading his latest flick "Sorry You're Not my Type". I am finally proud of him the way he has scaled up with this book. What a performance! It seemed as if I was reading one of those writers who build a story around characters and make their book look everyone's story and not of just one protagonist.

This is what Sudeep unlocked with this one.
